How to Unlock Dragon Generations Skills

An ultimate attack does you little good if the enemy interrupts you before it lands. Dragon Generations skills become more useful when you combine master training with enough damage, stamina, and breathing room to use them. Learning how to unlock and support your Dragon Generations skills gives you a clearer path through story bosses without spending Robux.

Your main route to new techniques is training with master NPCs. Story progression unlocks additional masters, and completing their training expands your selection of attacks. You can also purchase skills from the shop using Zeni.

MasterAccess or progression pointSkill information
Mercenary TaoEarly-game trainingTeaches techniques useful for early progression
RaditzUnlocks after you defeat himOffers moves through master training
GokuUnlocks after you defeat VegetaTeaches Super Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb
VegetaUnlocks after you defeat VegetaOffers additional techniques through training

Start with the easy quests before chasing tougher fights. After the introductory quest, complete the purple Special Quests that involve finding items or making deliveries. Add nearby yellow Daily Quests with similarly simple objectives. This route can bring you to around level 20 before you tackle the opening story battles.

Use North Earth's fast travel points to reduce travel between quest objectives. More completed quests mean more experience, stat points, and Zeni to support your combat progression.

Once you begin the story, train with unlocked masters as you go. You can reach level 100 with your starter attacks, so you do not need to collect every technique before continuing. However, master training earns more than moves: completing a master to 100% awards one mastery point.

Save early Zeni for your race's transformation unlock. Some races gain their first transformation at level 50, while others begin at level 100. Avoid spending everything on shop techniques immediately before that milestone.

Using Dragon Generations Skills in Combat

Your basic combat tools matter even after you unlock flashy attacks. Punches, blocking, stamina breaks, and evasive movement give you options while you manage the resources needed for stronger techniques.

On PC, these are the core combat inputs:

FKi Blast

ShiftCharge Ki

Shift also handles sprinting in movement contexts. Hold Space to fly, then use Shift for faster flight. On Xbox, hold A to fly and use the left trigger for sprint flight; on PlayStation, hold X to fly and use the left trigger.

Create an opening before charging

Against Raditz, use Dragon Rush to send him away, charge your ki while he is traveling backward, and follow with your ultimate. The useful lesson is the sequence: create distance, refill your resource, then commit to the attack.

Practice that sequence during story fights. Charging while an enemy is directly pressuring you gives them an opportunity to interrupt your setup. Use the space created by your rush instead of immediately chasing them.

Mix close-range attacks with ranged ki attacks rather than leaning on one button throughout a fight. Keep blocking and Snap Vanish available as defensive options, and watch your stamina while using rush attacks or evasive movement.

For the half-Saiyan route, Great Ape adds another way to create reliable charging opportunities. It becomes available at level 50 and prevents you from being stunned. You can charge ki through incoming attacks and then release an ultimate.

Stun protection does not remove the need to watch your health. Use it to complete your setup, then keep track of the damage you are taking.

Think of Dragon Generations skills as parts of a combat sequence. A rush creates space; charging prepares your ultimate; defensive actions help you stay alive between those openings.

Build Stats That Support Your Attacks

Unlocking Dragon Generations skills is only part of improving your fighter. The stat points earned through leveling support your damage and survival, while your race influences which build you want to develop.

For an early hybrid half-Saiyan build, distribute points between ki damage and melee, then add health to keep pace with your enemies. This supports both ranged attacks and close-range fighting instead of committing immediately to one damage type.

Half-Saiyans gain double damage when their health reaches the red zone. That bonus can turn a difficult encounter around, but do not deliberately sacrifice health just to activate it. Build enough health to survive the fight and use the damage boost when it occurs.

Agility supports stamina management. It increases your stamina supply and reduces drainage from rush attacks, boosted flight, and Snap Vanish. Invest in it when those actions repeatedly leave you short on stamina.

Keep your next upgrades tied to the problem you are actually facing:

  • Add ki damage when you want to strengthen your energy attacks.
  • Add melee when close-range fighting is central to your build.
  • Add health when you need more room to survive enemy damage.
  • Invest in Agility to support frequent rushes, evasions, and boosted flight.

Dragon Ball wishes offer another way to develop your stats. Earth Dragon Balls can grant 50 additional stat points per wish, up to five such wishes, for 250 extra points total. You can also wish to reset your stats when you want to move from a hybrid build toward a different focus.

For a temporary boost, Tree of Might Fruit costs 2,500 Zeni and lasts one minute. It increases ki and melee by 20% and reduces incoming damage by 20%. Save it for a troublesome encounter where those bonuses can help you finish the fight.

Master Kaioken and Your Transformations

Kaioken is obtained in Other World through King Kai's quest. Talk to King Kai, then find Bubbles at the back-left tower of King Yemma's Palace when approaching from Snake Way.

Other World also offers quests that can help finish your climb to level 100 after North Earth's story. After defeating Cooler, continue with those quests or complete more Daily Quests for additional experience.

Once you have Kaioken, mastery becomes the next priority. Mastering it removes its health drain, opens access to stronger versions through King Kai, and allows it to stack with compatible transformations.

Separate techniques from form mastery

Master training and transformation mastery help each other, but they serve different purposes. Training with an NPC teaches attacks. Mastery points improve forms such as Kaioken.

Complete masters to 100% when you want both benefits from the same activity. You gain more techniques while earning points that can support your transformations.

For the half-Saiyan route, level 100 unlocks Unleashed Potential. Master that form through training or mastery points, then combine it with mastered Kaioken. The combination still drains the bar that controls your transformation duration, even after Kaioken's health drain is removed.

Progress through Kaioken's stronger versions by returning to King Kai after mastering the preceding stage. This progression reaches Kaioken times 20.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber also offers training mode for skill points, stat improvement, and some experience. You can enter with Zeni; the paid entry pass removes that entry cost. You do not need the pass to use the chamber.

As you develop Dragon Generations skills, keep room in your progression for mastery. Another attack gives you another option, while a mastered form improves how you use the moves already available.

Beyond the beginner route, Path Transformations become available at level 850. They provide buffs, unique techniques, and Path Passive Abilities. Many are restricted by race, so your character's race remains relevant well beyond North Earth.

Continue story progression to unlock more masters and moves. Use training to build out your techniques before deciding whether you want a paid addition. You can play Dragon Generations on Roblox and continue developing your fighter through quests, combat, and mastery.

FAQ

How do you unlock Dragon Generations skills?

Train with master NPCs and progress through story quests to unlock more teachers. You can also buy skills with Zeni in the shop. Some Robux packs include additional techniques.

When do Goku and Vegeta become masters?

Both unlock after you defeat Vegeta during story progression. Goku's training includes Super Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb. Raditz becomes available earlier, after you defeat him.

Do you need Robux to reach level 100?

No. You can reach level 100 using starter attacks, quest rewards, and normal progression. Master training gives you more moves along the way, and the Hyperbolic Time Chamber can be entered with Zeni.

Why does mastered Kaioken still drain a bar?

Mastery removes Kaioken's health drain and allows stacking with compatible forms. When you combine it with another transformation, the duration bar still drains, limiting how long you can remain transformed.
